Abstract Art Mother and Baby

Hello, Can anyone identify this abstract design. It would of course be interested to know how the overall design was put together and what type of paint was applied. The surface, appears to be some sort of plastic material and then by pouring an oil base paint over the background area in order to create the shape. Please note, I have no ideas and welcome your help.
