A very pleasing looking teapot.

He was closed on the day that I passed by so I bought my first piece of studio pottery up the road from Frank Smith.

Slipware plate by John Solly, personally inscribed to Kenneth Clark (famous for his experiments with tiles).
A lot of Clark's stuff has been sold off since his death in 2011, and the dealer found this in a box of his effects.
(Solly has misspelt Clark)

John Solly, Maidstone, earthernware bowl aprox 12cm tall and 15cm at widest point.
I didn't think it was worth starting a separate thread for his Maidstone days, so perhaps the thread title should now have Maidstone added?
