Found this a while back, think it's maybe a sheet of Pewter over a thin piece of board that has been Worked and Painted with a Crinoline Lady scene. Not signed, maybe's from the 20s or 30s But would you class it as Art !.

I always think of arts and crafts as Arts and Crafts period 1860 - 1910, and this is more 1920-30s revival of the Victorian 'chocolate-box'-style art, beloved of biscuit tin manufacturers.

I don't think it's that early. The figure looks very like one of those Cartlonware ladies from the 1920s.

I agree it's probably not early but my point is that all arts and crafts since the industrial revolution can be classed as revival

Um, ok. Well to nit-pick, then Happy .
I was using 'revival' in the context of reviving Victorian Chocolate Box-style art in the 20-30s, and disagreeing that it's Arts and Crafts (from any time period), unless you are saying that schmaltzy Victorian art, where the countryside was a pretty and safe place to be, full of thatched cottages and flowering plants, was at the heart of Arts and Crafts philosophy.

Brain overheating. Going off now for a nice pot of tea and ginger biscuit.
