1960s Studio Dish / Tray With Cat - Italian? Empty 1960s Studio Dish / Tray With Cat - Italian?

Can anyone help with this piece? No marks on the reverse but maybe a second as there are a few glazed chips along the edge. I thought Italian or Eric Leaper.

I think probably Continental - Italy, Portugal, Spain - probably Italy because I've seen a lot of 60-70s black long-necked ceramic cats with Made in Italy stamps, although no manufacturer's marks so difficult to know who made them.
The pottery is a pretty soft white earthenware which chips easily around the edges.
