Combined JK mark Empty Combined JK mark

Post by Oldmagpie March 12th 2013, 8:58 pm

Ok so out and about to day I spotted a sculptural vase that I quite liked, but didn't purchase as it had a little damage and it put me off a bit. I'm now just trying to find some info on it as I may well go back for it if it turns out to be something valuable as it was quite cheap. Unfortunately I had no camera with me but have found a image on the net of the mark for which there is a link below does anyone recognise the mark? The vase itself is difficult to describe, but although it sounds a little weird it reminded me of the type of cone you get on a cornetto that has burst and been giving a ragged finish along the top edge so if anyone knows any potters with the initials JK that do sculptural vases that look like they have exploded that would be even better Clap

Jonathan Keep is South African but has been potting in this country since 1986. He has always made sculptural pots but not always like his current work. An image is really going to be the only way to really rule him out or in. I do have a catalogue of his work up to around 1993.

The Jonathan Keep Mark doesn't look like it SP , as it was very different and painted , I'd rule that out .

I didn't check his mark to be honest so I guess that does rule him out.
