Nice, and thank you. I have a mug I bought years ago and thought was by him, I now know it's not

Re: George Ormerod
It might be. George's range is remarkable.

It would certainly wake you up in the morning if you had the whole set.

I'm going to have to put in for a bonus if I have to keep loading images for people who want their pots identifying.
Just remembered that I do it all for love.

Re: George Ormerod
Just looked at his website, which is rather odd as it's all grey until you move onto the image and colour appears.
I did that as I don't know his work and the mark on this teapot doesn't look exactly like that shown in "the book". However the knob on the lid of the teapot is more distinctive than the mark and it must be by him looking at examples on his site.

Re: George Ormerod
I agree, I had a quick peek at the website, albeit on my iphone, the shape and style of the teapot is very distinctive, the grooves in the handle, the way the spout is shaped all match, I couldn't find his back stamp though (again quickly looking on iphone). Will need to do a little more digging to see if he worked anywhere else, and also find that signature. Is 'the book' you refer to the one that is also stored electronically online? The British Potters book?
Thanks for sorting my photos - thought I got the links right this time, ho hum.

I once went to a few of George's pottery classes in Gateshead. I think it's probably by him. You might be able to contact him via his website.
