A.Krupp Klinker Keramik at Hillscheid, Ww., made for WEKARA

Post by Zijperspace on January 21st 2013, 3:46 pm

Marks at the base: 'Wekara Handarbeit' and 10/20.
Wekara was where it was being sold, I've learned from Volker. So we need another ID.
I'm guessing Dümler & Breiden, since the decor seems like other vases and dishes I have from the same company (you might take a look at the backside of the dish here: https://www.20thcenturyforum.com/t2918p105-dumler-breiden#85718).
Could anybody confirm this?

do you mean Dee Cee exported Dumler & Breiden?

Dragon Pottery, Sylvac, Hartley's Hartrox Stoneware, Individual Pottery, and Hillstonia all had the Dee Cee stamp on their bottoms at some point as well as German factories such as Dumler & Breiden

Ha, thank you Volker. I come to realize I finally have an AKRU piece as well. My sgraffito collection is getting more complete. ;-)
Also first actual vase with WEKARA inscribed in it.
But what Mark says about Dee Cee also sounds like interesting info. Although I never saw something like that mark before. Yes, probably because I'm living in the Netherlands...
