Watercolor Signed* Ruiz Help please!
Hello everyone! Thanks again for all of your help on numerous IDing.
I purchased this painting a few days ago, and it is beautiful and very nicely detailed.
The pictures do not do it justice.
I've looked up the name Ruiz, and there are a few artists with that last name.
The one that looked most like this work was Antonio Ruiz. Obviously I would love for that to be, as Antonio is a well know Latin artist!
Please let me know if you think this may be him, or possibly another Ruiz!
Thanks for your help in advance!

Re: Watercolor Signed* Ruiz Help please!
The signature's not the same, and while there is a passing resemblance in the composition and colours used by Ruiz, I think this one is not the same quality as an original Ruiz. Personally I think the best one could say is it's "after Ruiz" (ie by a student or amateur copying his style).

...but as it's signed 'Ruiz' I would be concerned that someone might see it as a forgery if you tried to sell it at auction.
