i found this one Saturday and it was just calling out on me, buy me!!! buy me!!! buy me lol... so decided to purchase it after holding it on my hands and it feels so nice so fought i am gonna have to go with this one, although it cost me much as felt is something special i suppose.. in my sight...

does anyone have a clue on this maker?

I hope I'm not right for your sake but I don't think this is as special as the person sold it to you thinks. I think if it was it would be more carefully marked.

I don't know what it is but I can say what I think it isn't. I don't think it very old. It's not British and possibly not hand made. Sorry Sunny...I might be wrong. Shrugs

yes your right about it been modern i accept.. but it is hand made... hand thrown from the top of it and it isn't perfect...

I'm 99.9% sure it's a moulded item and not hand thrown, sorry.

They do tend to be, but that sure is a wonky vase Big Laughter

If you take a picture looking inside the vase, then we can be sure, but I still think it's moulded Shrugs

The inside is quite confusing due to the lines, I personally still feel it's moulded. But I'll leave it to someone more knowledgeable to confirm or not Excellent

It looked to me that the lines on the inside were from the dark stain used to highlight the zig-zags - the same as on the base.

thanks bistoboy i did contact someone from the flavia company or so and he wrote back >>>> I'm afraid I'm not an expert and I can't verify the provenance of your beautiful vase however, if your vase was made by Flavia, I believe it would have a more complete stamp on the bottom like, Flavia, Montelupo, Itay.
