Glass Disc with stylised lion
Clearing out the loft and come across this. It has leather through the hole to suspend it and is 11.5 cm (4.5 inches) in diameter.

Re: Glass Disc with stylised lion
Now that I know what to call the thing I can see some similar designs by him on the internet. I did try several searches using Google but never thought of the magic word "suncatcher". Many thanks

Of course it's not by Erik Hoglund. The very thought! Tell you what, I'll give you a fiver for it

Now another one has appeared in blue with an angel - breeding up there no doubt. What am I going to do?

Don't worry. I'll remove them for you and give you complete freedom from any such future manifestations, guaranteed.

Re: Glass Disc with stylised lion
Sorry not Hoglund. They are not his primitive style, more cartoon like. Hoglunds suncatchers tend to be much larger and the glass is way thicker. Colour is wrong too.
A large (22cm) amber suncatcher made at Boda: https://picasaweb.google.com/Johnmj100/ErikHoglund#5799639420810918402
This one is small (7cm), I think this size is described in the 67 catalogue as medallion with band, so not a suncatcher at all: https://picasaweb.google.com/Johnmj100/ErikHoglund#5610693437205310002
The leather band is long gone on that one. The amber one had a leather band but it had perished and was not strong enough to use.
