LARGE RAKU BOWL PAINTED MONOGRAM SNAKE LIKE? ES S or ESD - Eric Stockl

Hi - I have this impressive large bowl with a Raku style glaze and an unusual painted monogram - as usual hard to read - a bit snake like but there looks to be an E and perhaps and S and a D but very hard to read and not even sure which way up to read it! - any ideas please?

Picked this up yesterday-I really like it but cannot work out the mark at all...no other marks/clues!
Does anyone recognise the style or glaze type?

Dear Forum,

Attached 3 pictures of a glazed, stoneware bowl with handles.Well decorated. Impressed maker's mark to base which I would be grateful for some help in ID'ng.

Diameter of bowl - 23cm
Height - 8cm

These two small art pottery canisters came as a pair. They both have the same mark that looks like an elongated S with possibly an E and a D incorporated at either end.

The larger of the two pots has what looks like adhesive residue on the base which has obscured par of the mark.

Any pointers gratefully received.
