Please can anyone confirm whether there were a Wayne HATHAWAY  AND a Wayne HANNAFORD potting at Shinners Bridge in the 1990's?
I was married to Wayne Hathaway and have come across a pot being attributed to a Wayne Hannaford from the same period.  Their names are so similar as is the makers mark on the pot .

I'd be really grateful for a reply asap.

I have a very nice stoneware vase by Wayne Hathaway which I bought from a stall outside the Cider Press centre sometime in the early 80'S?
Often wondered what became of him. Is he still potting?
I also bought another teabowl but have never been able to identify maker. May post pics later.

Ooooooo a new name has come up for the same period - Wayne Hanningford - again the same impressed mark for him and a mark for Janice Tchalenko - pre 1980 - was she around then? I didn't think so, I also thought DP was still known as Shinner's Bridge at that time??
Please can anyone shed any light?? Thank yoooooo :)

Big Ed asked Petra Tilly about him and she wasn't sure of his surname so I guess he was at Dartington before she worked there in the 80's

Thanks Dan. The plot thickens but still no clue as to whether this Hannigford person actually existed or if someone got Wayne Hathaway's name wrong - which I suspect is probably correct. ho hum :(

Might also be worth asking Mick Dixon at Bartley Heath Pottery, who worked for Greyshott and Dartington and studied at Farnham Art College.

My ex hubby did work at DP 1979-2004 and I've never heard of a wally hanningford but that's where my confusion lies. :)

I think the name is supposed to be Wayne Hathaway. Was this ever clarified.

Hello, I think this large jug was by Wayne Hathaway judging by the mark. The teapot doesn't have an incised mark but it does have a painted one. Does anyone know if Wayne would have decorated the jug or just thrown it? As I'm wondering if he made the teapot as it's the same design but different mark...thank you...
