Found in a charity shop in Sunderland (famous for glass).

I know very little about glass and I wonder if anyone can tell me anything about this?
Thanks for looking.

Have not got a clue about glass, but I like it.

Looks like a lampworked piece in borosilicate glass. Possibly a small-run studio piece, something from one of the courses at the National Glass Centre, or even someone tinkering in their garden shed.

I do like that, Climberg.
Is the base glass as well, or a chunk of polished natural mineral?
And.....a charity shop...wow! Please tell me you paid more than a quid for it.

Thanks for that. The base is of polished wood. Sadly one of the 'fronds' has been glued.
