Glass Vase Scandanavian? Empty Glass Vase Scandanavian?

Glass Vase Scandanavian? Img_1169

9" high and cased with a very thick glass base and midnight grey body - thick glass and quite heavy - think its scando am I right or wrong?

First instinct is that it's Polish and fairly contemporary.

How are the top rim and base finished off?
