Tigris flat cat Form No. 4254

Post by Raine Larcher on January 8th 2009, 5:36 pm

I got this lovely little flat cat a year or so ago possibly a pin dish but goes very nicely with my three Tigris cat vases

side view

and base which has what appears to be an upside down V below the form number alongside a mirrored division sign or could be LV not very sure

Form 4166 Checked decor

Post by Raine Larcher on January 8th 2009, 6:19 pm

Here's another 4166 nice checked design but real name unknown. I have noticed that the Schmider vases of this type (and probably era) used a very limited colour palette of red, blue, green yellow, white and black.

and the reverse

and the base form number and white stamp 'Made in Western Germany'

Different Form No. 4166

Post by Raine Larcher on January 8th 2009, 6:30 pm

This one gives me mixed feelings due to the decor. I wonder if it was made for the Netherlands market due to the folk myths about Black Peet (apologies for the spelling). Anyway here it is

and the reverse

and the base with black stamped 'Made in Western Germany'
