Swirl Glass Dish

This has sat on my windowsill for years and I have never known who made it.
Swirl glass, ground pontil, some base wear. Dish or ashtray, not sure.
Folded as to form a triangle.

Any ideas regarding maker/date. Thanks

Yes, slightly, more matt than shiny.

I really don't know that much about this kind of glass but I'd tend towards Far Eastern production with that base. Obviously it's a very Murano looking piece but I wouldn't expect to see that kind of base finish on Italian production. I could be completely wrong however that's my hunch.
