Unusual ornament

Post by aussie on Sun Feb 13, 2011 6:41 am

Hello

I am in possession of an unusual glass ornament. My mother believes she may have purchased it in an antique store.

Its a flower with a stem and is attached to two feet. Its close to 6 inches high and 9 inches wide. Its got some weight in it and it is solid.
Has anyone seen one of these before and can you identify what brand it is or where its originally from. I would appreciate any feedback.

Cheers
Aussie

This looks like a 'triffid' - I know a lot of people collect these types of things although I know nothing whatsoever about them myself (not really my bag). Does it glow under a blacklight?
