Probably Longpark

A "Scottish" piece. It's a long way from Torquay to Ayr!

Another Scottish motto on a nice miniature Tyg, 1910-1920.

"There's aye some water whar the stirkie droons" Needs translation!

A coloured cockerel ink-well 1910-24.
"Blot out my faults, but not my memory"

A nice rare piece of longpark pottery for the board.

A lovely item, probably c1918.

I think this is more than likely LongPark Torquay

But not 100% ?

Also only mark on the base is 1896 ? I read that Longpark started in the 1880s
But I would Guess its a pattern mark and that the vase is early  to mid century ?

Yes Typical Longpark kingfisher. 1896 is probably the shape code.

Picked this up today thought it might be of interest. Anybody have info on the potters who worked there?.

Nice unusual piece. The mark was used c1914-c1923.

The pottery was started by a group of Aller Vale Pottery employees who fell out with the company and so the items were quite similar.

These included Robert H. Skinner and Frederick H. Blackler, who were there during the period that DD mentions. Other names of potters linked that I have seen are G W Bond, G H Causey, W J Skinner and Herbert Bulley.
