Scandinavian(?) Cheese Tray
I recently purchased a cheese tray that has a lovely illustration and is signed. I can't find any information about the artist or the possible origin of the tray. (I'm listing it in plastics because the material is a hard plastic-y material. On the back there's a little damage and it appears to be pressed wood with a hard plastic-y coating over it. Apologies that i don't know the proper term.) The signature (on one of the woman's skirts is Piet Maes.
What are your thoughts on the possible origin and/or maker of this tray? My gut says it's 1960s Scandinavian...

Re: Scandinavian(?) Cheese Tray
Not an artist I've heard of, but the name suggests Dutch/Belgian.

Re: Scandinavian(?) Cheese Tray
maes is a name common to the low countries rather than Scandinavia
