Zwiesel (Germany)

9.5" glass ,I think maybe ice bucket , it has two litte handles , but could be used as a vase I suppose , also stamped on the base

This is labelled Ambiente Zweisel, and I know Ambiente was/is a German glass company, but can anyone put a date on this? Can't seem to find much info on them.

Maybe try googling the right word: Zwiesel

Schott Zwiesel was (and still is) one of the major German glassmakers.
The pieces I have seen with the "Ambiente Zwiesel" label are rather recent I think -- maybe 1990s or newer...

Hmm. You might be right, but if so then they've got a hell of a retro-looking label (speaking as a graphic designer myself).

The label design is not the greatest I have ever seen, admitted ;-)

But pieces with this label seem to be sold still new 'Glas Kerzenleuchter Vase Zwiesel Apricot' (that's the style of vase I have seen a few times with this label).
Your vase is certainly very nice, whenever it may have been made...
