Metamec Starburst Clocks

I picked this up at a carboot sale for a few pounds recently. Starburst (or sunburst) are quite big with plenty of variations- some with wood spokes and some with a combination of metal & wood spokes. 60s/70s Metamec ones probably have the highest value. I was in Laura Ashley at the weekend and noticed a nice largish starburst mirror to match it!!
There's a few retro clocks on this site http://www.retrowow.co.uk/retro_products/retro_clocks.php

Re: Metamec Starburst Clocks
I absolutely love Metamec clocks, especially the plainer (non-starburst) wall clocks in white and coloured Bakelites. I've about 15 in my collection.
Sadly, I'm lacking photos of them at the moment, except for an ęsthetically-unwieldy calendar clock with steel frame I sold some years back:

I have a Starburst wallclock - it's had to make way for the Tretchikoff temporarily though.

Re: Metamec Starburst Clocks
have had a few Metamec starbursts over the years - almost stabbed myself in the back of the neck with one when I braked suddenly coming back from a fair!!!
I now try and stick to the completely wooden spiked ones - less chance of an injury. This is a starburst I found recently which isn't a Metamec but in the same style. It is by Anstey & Wilson (England) and very nice retro shape.
