Taschen 'Decorative Art' Series Reprinted

For those of you, like me, who don't have a thousand or so pounds to invest in original editions of The Studio magaine's old Decorative Arts Yearbooks, famous for chronicling all walks of 20th Century design, the Taschen condensed paperback reprints have been a bit of a saviour.

These have been out of print for a while, and so the prices of them were starting to creep up to silly amounts (up to £100 for books that 3 or 4 years ago were retailing at £8.99). Luckily Taschen have reprinted Decorative Art 50s and Decorative Art 70s - both are currently available on Amazon UK for the paltry sum of £6.74 each, brand new, and including shipping.

These dense tomes, just shy of 600 pages, cover everything from glass, pottery, tableware, lighting and architecture using images and small descriptions culled from the original yearbooks.

Unfortunately these seem to be the only two titles reprinted - I've space on my shelves for all the pre-1950 titles when they get the bargain treatment!
