Knobbly Maroon Glass Bowl
I bought this from a charity shop today because I loved its knobbly pinkness. I learned from Christine I think, that this was a chinese base.
And then a face I found on it.
Any ideas?

Re: Knobbly Maroon Glass Bowl
It's a very pretty colour Sue. Is the base frosted? Christine's right about the Chinese finishing their items with this kind of frosted finish - but I'm not sure that your bowl is Chinese however (looks a little too 'nice').

I thought Czech when I first saw mine - I must have seen one like your's before Davee.
I bought it anyway because the poor old lady had to climb about in the window to get it and show it to me.

It doesn't strike me as Chinese either. Frosted bottoms are not always Chinese. It could be a UK studio piece
