Jacques Kupfermann was my late father - born in Vienna , Austria and came to the US in 1941. He studied at the New York Art School and then moved to Woodstock, NY which is where Iwas born. We then moved to the UK in the 1960's He died in December 1987. Would be very intersted to know which painting you purchased as I keep records where his pictures are.
We still have a few works of art for sale which is separate from our core family collection.
Best wishes
Elias Kupfermann

Re: Jacques Kupfermann
Welcome to the board Elias - it would be wonderful to see some of your father's work - do you think you would be able to post up some photos here in this forum for us all to see?

Sorry about the late reply.... Thank you so much Elias for providing your information (I am hoping that I have ID'd it correctly as being painted by your late father!).

Kind regards Guy

Re: Jacques Kupfermann
you can get them appraised by taking them in person to an auction house that has some knowledge and experience in that area.

Hello Elias, I have one of your fathers paintings, purchased via e bay! It was one of 6 purporting to come from a private commission, according to a label on the frame the seller was Eleanor de Botton. It was painted in 1983. It is now displayed in my home in Chesterfield and I love it! I hope the picture attachment works. Kind regards Andrew Sills
