thought these were the same as my mums danish stuff but not quite the same shape and much lighter

Hard to say - not a design I recognise from Holmegaard, but then I don't have all the catalogues so that means nothing.

Could alternatively be German, Polish or Czech - all three produced much in the way of smokey mould-blown glass during the latter half of last century.

ta Nic the stall nearby where I bought these for 3 euros has a large set of 8 claret 8 smaller and8 bowls that I think are holmegard like on your site but not at the same price
