Scheurich Keramik - Page 5 Empty Scheurich Vase?

This was made into a lamp base. I am unsure whether it was originally intended to be a lamp as the inside is unglazed and there is some evidence of glaze in the hole at the base? Any comments + does anyone know the decor?
