does anyone recognise this design?

the signature on the front?

I believe it is cast iron alloy that was possibly plated

28 (handle to handle) x 35 cm high

seems it is from Emillio "Elia" Sala

he was from Milan but became well-known in Russia, in English he would likely be known as Ilya
