SL mark and EU, both clearly impressed.

It's been interesting reading up on this fine fellow, but was more than a little surprised that he doesn't appear in Yates Owen Fournier, just does not seem right!!!

Yes, I was surprised he wasn’t included so I checked his dates and he seems to be yet another one who fell between two stools; they either retired or died or moved abroad between the 1st & 2nd editions. The second mark is his studio in France

You say "yet another one", sounds like the book isn't as comprehensive as I'd believed it to be.

Ha ha, I could show you long lists of potters not in the book :)

That's more than a little disappointing. I thought this was the "go to" book for studio marks.
Is there anything else out there that you'd recommend Naomi?

It is the go to book; there isn’t anything better on the market. Although there’s also the BISPM.co.uk website where I’m adding the Marks that aren’t in it, plus Irish marks

Isn't it about time you wrote a book Naomi I would certainly buy it and I'm sure many more too.
I would gladly send my old Yates Fournier to the charity shop.

Maybe one on Irish studio pottery marks, one day. But the BISPM website keeps me busy enough these days.
