I went to Paris with my school and asked if we could visit, my teachers said there was too much in there to see everything so we wouldn't go in at all

I remember going to the Louvre years ago and I was accosted in the entrance hall (the pyramid) by an middle aged American woman. She gave me her camera and wanted a photo - typical American widow travelling Europe. But she knew exactly what photo she wanted, she walked 10m away and got out a pamphlet and turned to the side and looked down. She did not just want a snap, it was like a photographer followed he round and documented her trip. It was clearly very important that she had a narrative for the photos when she got home. Very strange.

Went once, (pyramid beautiful), dragged to the hugely disappointing Giconda.
Err that was it, you would need a couple of days in there in all honesty.
Musee d'orsay is far far more intersting, It was free on certain days and times.

Also Musée de l'Orangerie in the Tuileries Gardens,
next to the Place de la Concorde in Paris, is a must see.

Just mind blowing,
