Found in a cardboard box at an auction near Holmfirth. Unfortunately, it has a giant chunk taken out of it near the top, but in all honesty, it's not that noticeable.

One of the (very) few finds at the recent Lincoln fair. A beautifully vibrant wall plaque by Mari Simmulson for Upsala-Ekeby. Watch the birdy!

Hi,

Siporex was a company in Dalby, Sweden that produced light beton (foam beton, foam concrete, cellular concrete).

No it does Dan - I've seen other UE vikings with commercial company markings to the bottom - I'm assuming that UE made some of these as corporate gifts.

new finds

Managed to find a couple of nice pieces at recent fair. Both by Mari Simmulson. Odd how your tastes change, a few years ago these would have been too figurative for my taste, now I quite like them. Must be getting old!
