Dalton Pottery piggy bank Empty Dalton Pottery piggy bank

I'm working my way through various pieces of "inherited" pottery and having trouble researching one item, a Dalton Pottery piggy bank. There seems to have been a few Dalton Potteries mostly now defunct. Dalton pottery studio Near Lockerbie seems likely but I think they specialised in cats? Any clues would be greatly appreciated.

Dimensions; 14cm (5") high 17cm (6.5") long
