The quality wasn't as high during the 30s and 40s due to the Depression and the War. The flowering of the company was during the 60s. I'm afraid I don't know their manufacturing techniques but I think there's a machine for making plates and dishes, which were then hand finished.

Found most of a service for four of this stoneware dish set. 8" salad plates are the only plates stamped : 68 462 Any ideas? Thank you!

Arabia, Finland striped bowl or Vase. Unless it’s a candle holder.
stamp - ARABIA MADE IN FINLAND KÄSINMAALATTU HANDMALAD and a moulded mark 391/1 & a decorator’s mark
I can’t see this model or even similar striped pieces online.
I’m guessing 1960s or 1970s.
Any info ? Thanks

Hello newbie to Arabia pottery. I picked up an amazing piece at an estate sale. The little I’ve found in my research lead me here. I know it’s from the early 1900’s. I know it’s part of the Fennia collection. I know there are similar pieces in art museums. Just so fascinated by it and any additional information on it would be appreciated. Thanks

Maybe impressed words on the right hand side, next to the foot rim? Looks like molded production ware, so the S could just be a decorator's mark, and looks incised

Probably a second with a mismatched lid. looks like a coffee pot rather than
my teapot, I would put my house on it being Arabia.

Just checked it out,there are some coffee pots with odd lids and the S is for the S series,backstamp was applied over glaze so tended to disappear with washing.Many thanks all for your input.
