Kersey Pottery Fred Bramham and Dorothy Gorst

Little bargain charity shop find this one along with another that I'll be posting shortly. I think the mark is AB, initially thought Alan Brough but it appears to square in comparison to other examples of his marks that I've seen.

This lovely bowl by Fred Bramham and Dorothy Gorst made it's way to Australia... Nice clear marks, which I thought I would share.

Robert Tarling established Kersey Pottery in 1969 and ran it until 1982 when it was then taken over by Fred and Dorothy Bramham

Little handleless jug (is there a name for this?) with ceramic spoon.

Previously under the stamped name HADLEIGH1972-82

They were good at glazing. Pretty Mug.

Does any one recognise the maker.

I’m thinking maybe Don Goddard Montreal .

The nearest mark I know is of Byron Temple ... but the style doesn't match. However, he did a lot of different types of pieces. What do you think?

Oh yes of course, I must go to spec savers I thought the FB mark was Chinese or oriental symbol and I was convinced it was Goddard as his mark and work so similar and oriental. It would make sense that it’s Kersey pottery as this is only 20 miles away from where I bought it. I am very new to this so you have to excuse my ignorance however good ol Amazon just delivered my new British studio pottery mark book so this will help. It’s a lovely piece a great find, thanks Naomi for your terrific work I’m loving learning something new👍🏻
