Dennis Cox - Is anyone familiar?

I have this original cartoon by Dennis Cox (ink and watercolour). I have researched the artist but can't seem to find much other than vector images. I haven't found any with the accompanying signature. Could anyone familiar with his work point me in the right direction? Thank you.

The car number plate, if contemporary, was used 1979/1980.

In London there is the Cartoon Museum and the Political Cartoon Society and both have websites. I have search for Dennis on both of these and they both come back "no results found". I have also checked on The Directory of Artists in Britain since 1945, which has around 14500 entries, and again there is no mention.


Therefore I think it is safe to say that he is not a nationally known cartoonist and so your example will not have any significant value. I note that you live in London and so it is possible that he worked for a local paper near where you live of acquired it and I suspect your only hope of tracing him is through local records.
