Post by fixit_bear on June 15th 2008, 12:41 pm

Palissy "Kon-Tiki" coffee cup and saucer pre-1960. Palissy Pottery Ltd became a company in its own name in 1946 occupying the building known as Palissy Pottery operated from 1930 by A E Jones. Before 1946 Palissy was used as a trade name by Jones. Following a series of mergers Palissy became part of the Royal Worcester Group in 1958. The factory was demolished in 1989.

Palissy boxed gift set of small plate/pin dish and spoon.
There was a second one like it in the shop, with a different pattern. It seems that these shaped plates were sold as gift sets like this.
