Palissy Pottery (Stoke on Trent)
Palissy "Kon-Tiki" coffee cup and saucer pre-1960. Palissy Pottery Ltd became a company in its own name in 1946 occupying the building known as Palissy Pottery operated from 1930 by A E Jones. Before 1946 Palissy was used as a trade name by Jones. Following a series of mergers Palissy became part of the Royal Worcester Group in 1958. The factory was demolished in 1989.
