Blue crackle-glaze vase Raku? Empty Blue crackle-glaze vase Raku?

Hello,
Can anyone help me ID this?
It's a lovely deep purple-blue glaze.  Not sure if it might be Raku as the clay almost looks smoke-stained.
Any suggestions appreciated!

It looks like raku and smoke staining is part of that process. Raku pots usually feel lighter than you expect.

Definitely raku but I don't recognise the mark. Is it an L? Maybe another photo would help?

Thanks for your suggestions. It doesn't smell, it's actually quite heavy - probably about what you'd expect as the walls are quite thick.
Sorry I should have mentioned about the mark - it's an S.
I've looked around and can't find anything quite like it.
Does anyone have any ideas of date?

Hopefully this shows it a little clearer - taken with the flash. The indentation is only about 5mm across and pressed quite deeply into the clay. It does look a bit like the photo you've linked to...

It's the right way up on my iPhone Excellent

Shirley Shiner has a raised S where a this one looks the opposite. I don't know if she's ever changed her mark

You'd have to ask her. She's been potting for a long time, and makes both porcelain and raku pieces. She's currently potting at West Street Potters, at the old Farnham pottery.
