This seems very inconclusive
I have reason to believe this to be the genuine article
how could I get a more definite appraisal?

Hi Dantheman my reason for believing it to be genuine is as founded as your reason for believing it not to be
Iam an optimist

You would need to take it to a specialist in Dali's work/signature at one of the major auction houses. It's not something we can do on this forum from photos.

I don't have any opinion but optimism will have no influence when selling them on

Dali signed lots of blank paper people make lots of money selling on those signatures (with a litho print on top) also there are lots of complete fakes, auction houses and dealers sell them on quite happily, so there is money to be made whatever

it means the smoke and mirrors used by the art promoters don't work when you compare their product with a real masterpiece
