Tall mug with painted fish decoration, impressed triangular mark
Dark teal glazed tall mug with colourful handpainted fish in water decoration. On an ebay pottery forum someone posted an image of the same triangular mark on a plain bowl, and suggested it was similar to Jim Malone Ainstable mark (and in this case fish are a motif in his work) though it's clearly not the same mark as in BSPM.
Any ideas folks? thanks

I guess you can say that many marks that are unidentified are like marks by famous potters but that doesn't really mean anything. This mark might be vaguely like the Ainstable mark but Jim never used that mark alone and this mug does not in any way resemble Jim's work in the slightest.
Unfortunately, I have no suggestions as to who might have made the mug.

The base is a bit messy. Maybe a hobby potter trying out a new stamp?
