Hi

I can't find the potter. The surround of the impressed initials is a bit rough so could be a student piece.

Looking in the Marks book, there's a similar RP mark for Murray Fieldhouse, but not in a hexagon shaped stamp and it's missing the dot, so cant be 100%

As you say, not much of his work around

Edited to add, the new owner wrote to Murray's widow to ask if it was one of his but she couldn't say.

Following his retirement they moved to Hale in the New Forest where they set up their first pottery.
For the last 12 years they have lived in Devon and been enthusiastic members of the West Country Potters Association. Rod’s pots are still selling in Fisherton Mill in Salisbury and Devon.
