unusual faceted vase HC mark
An unusual faceted vase here, grey stoneware with an almost lustrous glaze. Very clear H within a large C mark. Unknown to me. Any ideas out there?

Re: unusual faceted vase HC mark
Sorry about the fuzzy photos. Taken with my phone at Spialfields market, trying to ID this for a friend. Mmm, I've never seen a Chris Harries personal seal. Only the 'COLDSTONE' mark on slip decorated trays and the like. Thanks for your ideas.

This was from Thursday - Antiques and Collectables. I have a stall there, selling some 20th century pottery, glass, ceramics. Others sometimes ask my opinion on pieces, but I'm no expert by any means!

Re: unusual faceted vase HC mark
I don't think Chris Harries could throw. At least he never did at Winchcombe and I only know him working in earthenware with slip decoration.

Re: unusual faceted vase HC mark
there is a mark in big ed post for Chris Harries at Winchcombe on here, take a look it does resemble mark - it is under labels, signatures and backstamps. Hope it helps.
