Japanese BaT'Leth blood wine cup?Well, you know me.....

After a fair few years scouring boot sales and charidee shops you start to get a feel for stuff that you have seen before and stuff that is gracing your visual cortex anew; this is one of the latter. It is stoneware pottery but has gold or gilded highlights like some Japanese Hakuichi things I've seen that are papier-mache. The handle is, of course, pure Klingon. Marks on the base don't give much away, so does anyone have any thoughts?.......

Never mind. The handle broke off and I'm afraid the bin got it; hope it wasn't valuable.
