Identifying 'UAW' Pottery Mark? Empty Identifying 'UAW' Pottery Mark?

I have been unable to identify the mark on this piece of pottery. It was acquired from a collector who had a number of Danish pieces -- but I do not know if this vase is Danish. It appears to be a 'UAW' mark but have not turned up anything similar based on my research.

The vase measures:
7.625" tall
2.75" wide mouth
4.25" at widest

The vase weighs 2lbs 15oz.

Thank you in advance for any help that you can provide. Sincerely,

Cindy

It looks familiar. There's a site called www.freeformsusa.com which has photos of Scandinavian ceramics and their marks. It might be on there.

Lol, this is why it looks familiar. Best to keep to one thread. If you're on Facebook there's an American studio pottery group. Worth asking them. Most likely it's American.

............... and as I said on your previous thread the shape is poor and the glaze hasn't been applied very well, although it does have a Scandanavian look.

My view is that it was almost certainly made by a hobby potter.
