Any help on this signature on a pretty little early Delphis 49 gratefully received:
Re: Poole Pottery 1960-1980 Part One
my latest and best Tony Morris piece, Tony studied at the Newport school of art before moving to Poole, his talent is quite exceptional but pictures speak louder than words (especially when the pictures... and words originate from Tony!)

it is Delphis, quite a few of these footed bowls with the stunning sea crest design on the underside were made,I have 6 or 7 in my collection
Not sure about the ID Dan. Shape 39's were only made 1969-1970, Thelma left in 1968 according to H&A.
My guess would be a Y dot Carol Cutler signature, with the brush having created a line when going to place the dot. But hard to be certain.

The quality of decoration is akin to Carols earlier work if you get my meaning

my latest Delphis shape 49 dish, it has the early Delphis colours that were discontinued after a few short years.

this is the forerunner of the shape 49 pictured above,it had the studio stamp placing it between 1964-1966 but is the same 5 inch shallow dish in every other respect

FAKE POOLE
I have noticed a few fake Poole pots being offered for sale over the past two or three years, mainly the crooks find a piece of pottery with a flat, unglazed bottom and mark it with a Poole stamp, they are not the most refined counterfeiters who ever lived as the stamp is often unlike any pukka Poole stamp.
