Ok, I give up. I can't work out who made this teapot. Have found things alleged to be by Colin Pearson and Kenneth Quick that look similar in terms of glaze but nothing near conclusive, and with no mark to fall back I can't rule anything in or out. DOes anybody have any ideas?

These are the nearest I've found, glaze wise

Unfortunately it's one of those generic teapots that everyone seems to make. I think there are too many minor differences between yours and Kenneth quick's to be one of his.
The devil is in the detail when it comes to identifying them.

Agree not quick based on the comparison of images. But as you state, the devil is in the detail. It may be a generic teapot but it's not a generic potter. The potting and finishing could only be by an extremely experienced hand. Not everyone could make this teapot. Which is why it drives me nuts that there's no mark.

True, it's by an accomplished potter, but you have excellent but under valued and under recorded potters like Alan Ward and many others, which makes identification difficult. I have a few similar teapots myself and still not identified them.
