This little vase is 4.5/8" high. Impressed with PS ? or a symbol and letter S. Has anyone got any ideas please.

Large 1972 Snake Pottery 'Pagan Sun Face' jug by Peter Currell Brown with motto 'Laborare est Orare' (To work is to pray) from the Rule of Benedict - a phrase later adopted by the Freemasons. 12" tall, weighs around 3.5 kilos.
