Ugly weird blue white dish - Chinese or Japanese modern

My last post for now. ( till my next estate sale run).
this is an odd looking casserole stoneware dish. it almost looks like those TJ Maxx Polish pieces, but something intrigues me about it it stands 5" and is about 12" wide. it has a blue design mark and an incised mark on the interior of the lid. its heavy with an unglazed botton. alot of salt glaze wear to the finish.
