Candleholder. Green glaze. Buff-coloured earthenware body.
Despite it's traditional style and some damage round the air vents I don't think it has too much age to it.
Provincial French pottery?

Possibly.

Came across a photo of a  Tudor re-enactment at the Old Royal Naval College, Greenwich, 2009, with a heap of greenware. Might be a piece made for re-enactments.
Might also be North Devon greenware.

Would that point to:
English Devonware?
Modern Reproduction?
Late 19th Century Reproduction?

I doubt it has a great age , not because of the base having wire marks as they did that in the 15th century also , I'd have thought Belgian / French Shrugs
