MURANO ARTIST ID - Amazing Murano Aquarium - Romano Donà
I just picked up this amazing murano glass aquarium sculpture and need everyone's help to ID the artist and company or studio - terms of how it was made. It is approx 20plus lbs -and 11" inches and just a magnificent work. Thanks to all in advance for you're knowledge - time and efforts. rbjr

Closest match seems to be Romano Donà. He has a biography page on the muranonet website.

Definitely Donà. I've never been so keen on these aquariums, but his work is always to the very highest quality - I've a few of his more sculptural pieces for the Gino Cenedese and Stefano Toso glassworks.

Thanks so much - one question. What glassworks was this aquarium for?

What does the acid-etched mark say? Looks like it reads 'MURANITH Murano Venezia'... but I've never heard of a Muranith so presumably it's a retailer rather than the manufacturer.
Glassworks was probably Stefano Toso - Donà did a few different aquarium sculptures for them.
