industrial landscape cast iron box dated 1967

Post by flying free on September 10th 2012, 12:48 am

In keeping with my love of all things industrial I found this cast iron lidded box this morning. It's about 8" wide by 4" deep and1.5" high. It has a cottage landscape on one side 17thc and then next to it the industrial scene dated 1967, presumably a view of the same site in different centuries. I wondered if anyone recognised the 'logo' which is on the four corners of the box sides.
Many thanks for looking

Just to add I bought it because it reminded me of Hebden Bridge in Yorkshire. I'm sure it quite probably isn't as that was a woollen mill I think and the chimney on the box is possibly linked to a metal foundry some way perhaps. But that's what I think of when I look at it.
