Amber / Clear Decanter Possibly Italian? Empty Amber / Clear Decanter Possibly Italian?

Just hoping someone can shed some light on the maker of this footed glass decanter... It's about 12" tall and the base is 3" across. I was thinking it might be Italian? It has a beautifully polished punty mark.
